Brian is a well known Bible teacher with a particular emphasis on Biblical end time events. Believing that these events are already underway, he believes that the Rapture of the Church to glory is imminent. Brian and Gilly (pic here with Bethan)travel throughout the UK and he also teaches in Europe and the USA. Although they are regularly in fellowships and churches who know them well, they are most happy to visit new venues to bring the message of the Gospel and the nearness of Christs return.

AN UPDATE OF OUR CONFERENCE IN CROMER LAST WEEK WHICH FINISHED ON FRIDAY.

Dear Friends,

As promised a wee bit earlier, here are some thoughts and piccies of our splendid time together at the Christian Endeavour Conference Centre in Cromer on the North Norfolk coast last week, led by the eloquent wordsmith from Glasgow now residing in York, the inspirational Brian Gemmell.

Nineteen of us assembled in the picturesque village of Overstrand (near Cromer) but our numbers were swelled several times during many of the teaching sessions with many local supporters joining us for a fine time of ministry and fellowship.

Pictured left are Brenda from Royston, Lesley from Croxley Green near Watford, John and Barbara Reed from Harwich, and Sally from Macclesfield. As you will gather, people travelled many miles to be present at this this excellent Christian Teaching Retreat.

The title for the week was "THE SEARCH FOR THE BRIDE, Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit". Split into nine fascinating sessions covering over nine hours of exposition and teaching, the dulcet Scottish tones took us through so many Scriptures that they are impossible to list here in this short summary.

However, in short, Brian took us through some of these intriguing and very interesting sub headings such as THE BRIDE OF CHRIST (THE CHURCH) IN THE LAST DAYS; THE WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN PREPARING THE BRIDE FOR THE LORD JESUS CHRIST; THE TYPE OF THE HEBREW MARRIAGE; THE GLORIOUS BRIDEGROOM- CHRIST THE KING; THE MARRIAGE FEAST OF THE LAMB IN HEAVENLY GLORY WHEN THE SPOTLESS BRIDE MEETS HER HUSBAND AT LAST; and LO HE COMES WITH CLOUDS DESCENDING when the two together come back to reign on earth during the Millennium.

BELOW IS A PICTURE OF BRIAN'S FABULOUS LITTLE MOTHER KATHLEEN (WHO IS NINETY YEARS OLD NEXT JANUARY), WITH THE SOMEWHAT YOUNGER ALI PHILLIPS FROM BRIDGEND IN SOUTH WALES ON THE LEFT OF HER.

The central theme of the inspiring teaching was taken from the book of RUTH, as Brian taught on the typology of Scriptural teaching which is missed by so many Christians and Churches today. Ruth, being a gentile, is a type of the church (the bride) marrying a Jew, the Kinsman Redeemer Boaz, who is a type of Christ in this fabulous narrative.

There were many other teachings in this wide-embracing seminar such as Israel being another type, this time the "wife" of the Father. Jesus the Son has the bride the Church, whereas the Father has Israel, although now in unbelief, but soon to be re-united as husband and wife when ALL ISRAEL SHALL BE SAVED!

There were many other teaching sessions on "The Appointed Day" for both the Rapture of the Church to Heavenly Glory, and the Second Coming Of Christ back to earth, the typology teaching of Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, and Rebekah, her name in gematria adding up to 153 corresponding to the intriguing teaching of the gentiles with the 153 fish in John 21: 1-14.

The final session on the Thursday evening closed with an emotional and moving communion service recommended by the lovable roving evangelist John Reed, and superbly led by Brian. And the excited group of believers assembled for this lovely Retreat were encouraged to go back to their fellowships to spread this deeper teaching of our God and Saviour, and TO TEACH, SPEAK, AND LIVE the teachings you have heard this week, and TO BE ENCOURAGED AS YOU GO AND DO IT!
